Community Engagement Partnership Fund:

Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) strives to keep alive the achievements and sacrifices made by those who served Canada in times of war, military conflict and peace. Engaging Canadians in the remembrance of these achievements and sacrifices is one of the key objectives of VAC's Canada Remembers Program; however, VAC also recognizes that it does not and cannot stand alone in honouring Veterans' achievements and sacrifices.

In pursuing its objective to engage Canadians in remembrance, Veterans Affairs Canada's Community Engagement Partnership Fund provides financial assistance to non-profit groups and organizations who share these mutual commemorative goals.

Initiatives considered for funding include, but are not limited to, remembrance activities/events that honour Veterans, including Canadian Forces Veterans, and those that engage youth and/or communities in remembrance.

Funding however, is not available to individuals or for profit businesses, capital costs (i.e. costs associated with purchasing, constructing, developing and acquiring tangible assets such as monuments, land, buildings, or equipment), ongoing operational expenses, projects that duplicate the efforts of VAC and its Canada Remembers Program, or projects that require ongoing funding.

VAC would be pleased to learn of the many worthwhile commemorative initiatives proposed by the Canadian public. Information and/or questions about the Community Engagement Partnership Fund may be directed to the Office of Cheryl Gallant, MP.
